My name is Amara Leazer. I am a class of 2024 graduate double majoring in Earth & Environmental Sciences linked with Environmental Studies, and minoring in Integrative Design, Engineering, & Applied Sciences at Wesleyan University. When I’m not trying to topple the patriarchy, I can be found cloud watching, chugging Starbucks, or cyberbullying ableist politicians on social media 🙂 Ever since 7th grade, I have been struggling with debilitating mobility and chronic pain issues stemming from inflammatory issues, overused joints, and a reconstructive surgery (sports are dangerous). I’m passionate about disability representation and advocacy and do a lot of work the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to ensure equal opportunities and reasonable accommodations for everyone. I for one, am all for disability insurrection, but I’m starting small. So, I welcome you to my site and hope to be of service in building a more accessible campus.
